Life At Grotto bay
Vibe
Carpets of spring flowers and the sound of the ocean. This is the natural beauty that you will find at Grotto Bay, tucked away on the West Coast of the Western Cape Province. Here you can enjoy the laid back lifestyle of the region, with the Atlantic Ocean only metres from your front door, a network of four hiking trails within the reserve, ranging in distance from 3km to 13km.
Fishing, non-motorised watersports and long leisurely strolls on the beach are an integral part of daily life.

Keeping Nature In Our Future
Preserve Grotto bay
The wildness of the reserve and the desolation that the beauty of the place evokes, remain untouched.
Grotto Bay Coastal Nature Reserve is part of the far larger Cape West Coast Biosphere Reserve, not much publicised but proclaimed by UNESCO all the same, that aims to make sure that any development remains ecologically sustainable and conserves the essential landscape for generations to come.
